It has come to my attention that I’m a really horrible blogger! Why you say? Well, as I’m sure you can tell, I’m often way behind in posting new content, and I’ve only been averaging about two posts per month. In my opinion, that is pretty pathetic to say the least. It’s not that I don’t have topics to write about or even that I don’t have enough time, it’s simply that I’m a procrastinator. Big Time!
Even this post almost didn’t get written. You see, I finally sat down to begin to write on the topic of procrastination and as I was thinking it through, I realized I would need an image. So off I headed to Google to find just the right one to convey my message. Do you know that there are hundreds of images related to procrastination? Apparently it’s a popular topic.
Well I soon found myself wandering through the pages of Google images only to become lost in the maze that is the internet. After landing on blog sites about everything from writer’s block, to comic strip creation, and witch craft (weird I know), I somehow ended up on Youtube of all things. Youtube, I believe, is a black hole of sorts because every time I’m there, time seems to simply vanish into thin air. So needless to say, I wasted quite a bit of it on video nonsense.
Though I hadn’t yet found the perfect image, I did learn that sometimes dogs and cats really do get along! Once I was through with ooohing and awwing over the adorable animals, I realized I still had a blog post to write! I decided I couldn’t honestly try to help other people deal with procrastination when I couldn’t even manage to write a post on the subject.
However, I’ve decided to blame my mom because of her huge fascination with Scarlett O’Hara who as you may know, is famous for saying “I’ll think about that tomorrow”.
So I think I may have taken on this idea to heart just a little to much and if it wasn’t for the last minute, I would never get anything done. But, I am working on it and I hope that you are more successful than I. Procrastination is the thief of time after all, and as Napoleon Hill said “Don’t wait. The time will never be just right”.
Make it a great day!
for your viewing pleasure…

Greetings Angel,
Congratulations on temporarily beating procrastination – You got a blog post up! You know the best and probably only way to truly and always get things done is INTENSE DESIRE AND CERTAINTY. When you find yourself slacking off, read or watch something inspiring, do something you love or go for a meditational walk. You’ll find that what you need to write, will easily come to your mind and sometimes get imprinted in your heart so firmly that you have no other choice BUT TO WRITE.
Remember, where you came from, take note of where you are now, and Visualize as well as feel what it will be like to be where you want to be. I think this is enough to motivate almost anybody to get off their ass and get moving!
God’s blessings are best,
Curt

Angel,
So very true, procrastination certainly IS our big enemy in the blogging world. It’s a challenge to be disciplined and consistent and I’m certainly not immune, either. Even after a few months of consistent blogging, if I miss a week, I might miss two or three, so I do my best to remember the results I will get from readers when I keep on keeping on.
Good luck,
Adam

I understand the concept of Procrastination. I went 2 weeks without a post. It felt horrible, because I knew that I needed to do it.
