What I Learned About Setting A Goal From My 86 Year Old Aunt

Setting a goal is one of the most important thing you can do to ensure your future success. There seems to be something magical about declaring to yourself and the universe what it is that you actually want to accomplish.

So here are your 3 steps to setting a goal

1. Get a notebook, journal, or whatever you want to write on. Your goals should be written in long hand NOT in your computer. I know everyone wants to type stuff up, but with goals you need to physically write them down.

2. Be as specific as you can about each goal you set. Don’t say “I want to lose weight”, say “I want to lose 25 pounds.”

3. Set your dates. You should have 30 day, 90 day, 1 year, and 5 year goals.

That’s it guys. It’s as simple as that. Declare your goals and then go out there and make it happen.
