I was recently on a webinar with an awesome marketer who just blew me away with his free traffic method. It’s article marketing but more like article marketing on steroids! I’m sure you think you are already using this strategy in your business, but I’m here to tell you there is so much more that can be done.

See, it’s not so much about what you write or even how you write it, but it’s much more about how promote it. Many people think that if they write it, they will come. However, without knowing the proper techniques, all of the hard work you put into writing your articles could go to waste. What good is it to have an awesome article if no one reads it, right?

So the guy that was teaching this method, David Wood, generates up to 74 leads per day (yes 74!), and everyone of them came from using these this free traffic method.I recently put his method to the test and the video below shows my results. In today’s fast paced environment you have mere seconds to capture a prospect’s attention, since most people have very short attention spans nowadays. So the best ways to accomplish this is by writing the best attention grabbing headline that you can. There are several key ingredients to writing a compelling headline but here are a few tips to help you get the job done.

#1 Tap Into Your Readers’ Emotions

It is a fact that we as buyers rely heavily on our emotions when making purchasing decisions. Therefore you should use headlines that produce a strong emotional response in your readers.

For example, The 10 Steps That Will Make You a Marketing Genius taps into readers’ desires to feel smart and powerful.

Other emotions you can tap into are a desire to feel:

1. Attractive
2. Assertive
3. Confident
4. Wealthy
5. Proud
6. Respected
7. Safe

#2 Use Active Language

It’s important to use active language in order to compel your readers into action.

For example, “Stop Smoking Today Using This Simple Step,” is an ok headline however it doesn’t command action nor does it really tap into any emotions. However, “Conquer Your Smoking habit Using This Simple Step.” Conquer is an active and emotionally powerful word.

#3 Talk Directly To Your Readers

You’d be amazed how much more powerful it is to use the word YOU in your headlines. It allows the reader to feel as if you are speaking directly to them and their problems. So instead of using I, Me or We in your headlines, use You. People are always wanting to know whats in it for them, so by addressing that upfront, you are grabbing their attention and will hopefully hold it long enough to finish reading the rest.

Here are three more ideas for powerful headlines:

* Make it newsworthy – See how you can earn $1000 a day.
* Make a promise – Earn $1000 a day
* Ask a question – Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck?

I’ve been doing a lot of research lately about Private Label Rights (PLR) content. I used to think that it was only for lazy people who didn’t want to do their own writing. But as I learn more, I’ve come up with lots of great ways I can use PLR in my own business.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, PLR is content that you get from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to sell or give away!

I’ve been looking into creating my own products and thought using PLR content would be a great way to create products quickly. It’s also a easy and smart way to write articles as well.

So when searching for PLR content to use, I found there were a lot of different types of sites available. Some offered monthly memberships and others offered just one time purchases. So be sure to look around before you decide where to buy.

The site I found that was by far the best was PLRWholesaler. Not only do they have an unbelievable amount of content, but it’s completely FREE. Most sites charge an arm and a leg for the amount of content that this guy is giving away.

And although I haven’t been through everything yet, what I have read is very good quality. It’s stuff you would actually want to use as your own.

Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective and quickest ways of earning money online and it allows everybody a chance to make a profit, Since these affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, implement and pays a commission on a regular basis, more an more people are jumping on board. However, like all businesses, there are possible pitfalls which can quickly destroy your chances of making a profit.

Mistake number 1: Choosing the wrong affiliate.

Many people want to earn from affiliate marketing as fast as possible, and in their rush to join one, they tend to choose a “popular” product. This is not always a wise move. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, try top choose a product in which you are truly interested in. Then you can do some research to see if there is a demand for it. Mistake number 2: Joining too many affiliate programs.

Since affiliate programs are so easy to join, you might be tempted to join multiples of affiliate programs to try and maximize the earnings. It is good to be promoting a few different products in order to build multiple streams of income. However, if you have too many you may end up spread too thin. The result? You end up not putting enough effort on any one product to succeed. The best bet is to focus a hand full of products and put all of your efforts into them. Then once you are making a reasonable profit, you can join another affiliate program.

Mistake number 3: Not buying the product or using the service.

As an affiliate, your main purpose is to convincingly promote a product or service to your customers. So it’s a little hard to do so when you haven’t actually tried it yourself. Try the product or service personally first before you sign up as an affiliate to see if it is really delivering what it promises. This will give you more credibility in your customers eyes.

I’m sure that you hear all the time about the benefits of writing articles to drive traffic to your site, but are you really doing it correctly? It’s more than throwing out some plr articles you bought and hoping that it has the desired effect. So I’m going to share with you some tips on how to find topic ideas, what makes a good article, and where to submit them.

The first thing that you should do it to decide what it is that you are going to write about. This is where your keyword research comes into play. You don’t want to write an article that no one will ever read, so find keywords that are getting a large number of searches but that has low competition. I use wordtraker.com which is a great service whether you use their free or paid option. Once you have your keywords, you should do a little research on your topic. Either find a prl article that you own that deals with your keywords that you can rewrite, or head over to ezinearticles.com and do a little reading. You’ll find a ton of articles on pretty much any subject, and once you feel you know enough about your topice you are ready to write.

Now you can open up your favorite word processor and start putting words to paper (or to screen i guess). If you are rewriting an existing plr article you should go line by line and reword each one. You ultimately are using it as a starting point, not a be all end all. This also goes for the articles you read during your researching. Plus if you were to submit an article unchanged, ezinearticles.com will probably just kick it back to you, so save yourself the trouble and make it unique.

One thing you should keep in mind when writing is that you should be sharing some kind of valuable information, not promoting your product or service. You want to provide enough good content that the reader will want to click through to your site. Well written articles would also boost your sites reputation. If they are filled with good information you will be regarded as well informed and an expert on the subjects that you write about.

In connection, you must write articles on subjects that are closely connected with your business. Many articles searched for are tips, guidelines, or how to’s so these would be good content that people would find useful. Don’t forget to include your keywords at least once in each paragraph and in the title. You don’t want to use it more than this or else you run the risk of it be rejecting due to keyword over saturation. Therefore, be mindful of how often they are used as well as if they fit with the flow of the writing.

Once you have your article ready to go, it is time to submit it to an article directory. Your first two stops are ezinearticles.com and goarticle do to the fact that they have a high site ranking. You should download the alexa toolbar so that you can see the page rankings for websites. Don’t waste your time submitting your article to anything over a ranking of about 100,000. They will not get enough traffic and is of no benefit to you. Also, you can take your articles and use them to build hubpages and squidoo lenses as well since these also get high rankings in Google.
